Why Manual Recruitment Matters
Manual Recruitment in Europeia has, in the modern times of the region, always been something that has been viewed as optional. Ever since Nation States made it possible to simply pay real money for "stamps" to send automatic recruitment telegrams, manual efforts have fallen by the wayside. If telegrams were being sent automatically, what was the purpose of taking the time out of your day to do it yourself? For awhile this mentality was deemed acceptable and recruiters were no longer regarded as highly as they were in the pre-stamp days. Over time however the situation has changed and it has become necessary to change the mentality around manual recruitment.
To understand the present situation it is necessary to understand how recruitment in general works. The Stamp telegrams and the Manually sent telegrams have two separate queues. In the beginning of the use of Stamps their queue was relatively empty and thus recruitment telegrams arrived very quickly as few people utilized the Stamps out the gate. Over time however, virtually every region uses stamps to increase their population and the queue has become increasingly crowded. Today it may take up to 25 minuets for a stamp recruitment telegram to arrive to a newly created nation. By that point most new nations have already decided which region they will move to and blocked recruitment tgs, thus eliminating our chance of them joining Europeia. Consequently over time the recruitment success rate for stamp telegrams has declined to only 0.75%.
On the other side of things the number of manual recruitment telegrams being sent is relatively nothing compared to their Stamp counterparts. Thus the manual telegrams arrive much quicker. This provides a window of 20-25 minuets from a new nations founding where we can effectively beat our own and other region's Stamp telegrams. By sending telegrams earlier in that window we can substantially increase our success rate on recruiting nations. Our recruitment success rate can reach the substantially higher percentages of 2.5 to 2.75% in the cases of large samples. That may not seem like much on face value but that represents a substantial increase in nations.
For example, Europeia currently has 22 registered recruiters for the region. If they all meet the minimum goal of 50 telegrams send a week (to receive their own personal discord emoji) they will have sent 1,100 telegrams to as many unique new nations. If the Stamp simply had reached all of those nations that week we would have only gained 8.25 nations. However, if those are sent as manual telegrams they turn out to be 30.25 new nations for the region. That is a massively substantial difference and over time manual recruiting can play a huge role in rebuilding our nation count and move Europeia up the charts.
