Newcomers Getting Recognized in Ministries

Recent Newcomers Promoted

Since the recent Presidential election took place close to the holiday break, many of the ministries have been discussing staffing options for the past few weeks. Several ministries have made their announcements and there are quite a few up-and-coming new faces. Within these staffing changes, there is a strong undercurrent of newcomer promotion that the region hasn't seen in some time. Several newcomers have been recognized for their efforts and commitment, moving up in the region.

Minister of Interior JayDee announced the promotion of a newcomer, Francis Stuart, to the position of Deputy Minister for Integration. Francis Stuart is a returning member of Europeia and re-joined in the middle of December. Already moving up into a Deputy Minister position, Francis Stuart is definitely showing his eagerness to get involved. Earlier this term, the Ministry also promoted a returning citizen, Cool Spring, to the position of Deputy Minister for Recruitment. Cool Spring has been effectively motivating the recruitment team, leading to several weeks of 1,000+ telegrams sent. The Minister of Interior himself, JayDee, is also a first-timer in that role, showing that the ministry, fully staffed with people new to their positions, is running quite smoothly.

The Ministry of Communications recently announced three Deputies for the upcoming term. These Deputies are all newcomers to Europeia, showing that the Ministry of Communications is an excellent place to move up in the region! Minister Punchwood has tapped CA Chair Bowzin as the new Deputy for Dispatches and Hard News. He will be headlining this position through the new weekly news format called Europeia by the Week, the first issue of which released this past Monday. Bowzin has been advancing quickly in the region, in a short period of time becoming CA Chair, Minister of Culture, and Deputy Minister in Communications. For the position of Deputy of Content Development, Minister Punchwood has selected Johnny Costello. This position will be in charge of helping writers to produce quality content and ensure certain editorial standards. Johnny Costello has been getting involved in many industries and showing his strengths in the various positions. The final deputy chosen this term is Lloenflys, who has been promoted to Deputy for the JSS, the Journalistic Support Service, a new program designed to aid private media outlets in Europeia in developing content and encourage increased use of private media. This will be Lloenflys' first position as Deputy Minister since arriving in Europeia during the holidays. Lloenflys has been a strong presence in the Discord, getting to know people, and is being recognized for his active and reliable voice.

Minister of Foreign Affairs HEM decided to start this term off with a bold announcement regarding newcomers. Within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he is focusing on new methods of advancement and leadership. He has removed the concept of Junior Ministers altogether and will be only having specific staff (ambassadors, foreign dispatch writers, etc.) and Deputy Ministers managing content and staff. This programs has a strong opportunity to become a strong method for developing skills and promoting more newcomers through the ranks. Newly-returned former citizen, Cool Spring, was chosen for the position of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Outreach. This position will be focused on developing new relationships and preserving Europeia's position of strong leadership among User-Created Regions within NS. Time will tell if HEM's new organization scheme will help promote newcomer advancement within the Ministry. This shake-up has been supported and applauded by some, perhaps leading to some similar changes in other ministries should this experiment show success at discovering talent and encouraging leadership.

The Europeian Republican Navy recently concluded another Triggering Seminar, a rite of passage for all those serious about becoming a strong part of Europeia's Navy. The Triggering Seminar functionally moves a sailor from simply following orders to being able to lead and conduct their own raids with other sailors. This responsibility is a perfect way for sailors to demonstrate their leadership abilities. The most recent graduate of the Triggering Seminar is ERN Mate Johnny Costello, who graduated on Sunday at the Major update. The ERN is an excellent place for newcomers to advance in the region, learn some practical leadership skills, and become regularly recognized for their contributions. Johnny Costello has been an active participant in many raids during this and the previous term, quickly rising through the ranks.

Opportunities for Newcomers

While there have been no announcements yet, Minister Aexnidaral has opened applications for Deputy Ministers within the Ministry of World Assembly Affairs. The positions will have activity requirements per some guidelines laid out in the Ministry subforum. Aexnidaral is also looking to vet someone for the position of Vice Delegate, mainly focusing on someone who can provide additional coverage over the RMB. If anyone has interest in these positions, message Aexnidaral on Discord!

With the recent resignation of Minister of Culture Rachael, Sopo put forward Bowzin for the position to replace her. Concluding the confirmation vote Thursday morning, Bozwin has been confirmed as the new Minister of Culture. This term will see a strong emphasis on festivals, as the EuroChoice Festival is planned for January with a festival with the TEP following sometime later in the term. Minister Bowzin may be looking for new Deputies to help focus the Ministry on its tasks for the remainder of the term, stay tuned for an announcement or message Bowzin if you have any interest in helping out the Ministry of Culture.

While not visible, Francis has already been excitedly getting involved and lending ideas for the ministry. Cool Spring has been performing beyond even my most optimistic estimates.

This article doesn’t mention Cuddlebuns, but I believe she deserves a mention as she’s been very energetic on our gameside.

I’m very proud of the work of my Deputies so far, they’ve performed very well in largely unfamiliar roles.

Congrats on the recognition (and promotions for some) guys!

These deputies are clearly hardworkers and deserve to be recognized. Congrats!

That's the way to get recognized! Come in and do the work! <3 People notice and it leads to more opportunities (and more challenge)!

Good job all of you!

So encouraging to see new faces taking on these responsibilities! :D
